About

Join us Sunday, August 15, 2021 for the 70th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

70 Years of Automotive Excellence

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the flagship of Pebble Beach Automotive Week. Begun in 1950 and now considered to be the world’s premier celebration of the automobile, this is a can’t-miss event for every car enthusiast.

Each year, the finest collector cars gather on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links to compete to be named Best of Show — the ultimate award for automobiles. Experts critique their elegance, technical merit, and history. And crowds come from all corners of the globe to cheer their favorites. In tandem with the competition between extraordinary historic automobiles, the Concours also serves as host to some of the most anticipated concepts and new car debuts.

2021 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Featured Marques & Classes

Take a walk through seven decades of Pebble Beach Concours history with a special exhibition of Best of Show winners. Witness a reunion of historic race-winning Porsche 917s and a gathering of delectable Talbot-Lago Grand Sports. Trace the sculpted lines of Pininfarina’s much-lauded designs, enjoy a glimpse of some of the earliest electric vehicles, and listen to the roar of Harry Miller’s mighty engines. And there’s more: the creations of Iso Rivolta and the competitors of the Carrera Panamericana will also be displayed. The 2021 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will feature the following marques and special classes among others.

90 Years of Pininfarina

This popular Italian design firm built the bodies for some of the best-loved Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and Maseratis, among others. It is now owned by Mahindra, and a related firm builds electric cars.

Porsche 917

Porsche scored its first overall wins at Le Mans in 1970 and 1971 thanks to the model 917, which is featured in Steve McQueen’s movie Le Mans.

ISO Rivolta

Led by Renzo Rivolta and then his son Piero, Iso made elegant and technical performance cars from 1953 to 1974.

Early Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles first appeared as far back as the mid-19th Century and for a time it was thought that electric technology might hold sway over the gas combustion engine.

Carrera Panamericana

Known as the most dangerous race in the world, the Carrera Panamericana was a border-to-border open road race run from 1950 to 1954 in Mexico.

Miller

A mechanical genius, Harry Miller’s cars won the Indy 500 ten times, and his engines (or Miller-based Offenhauser engines) won another 29 times.

70 Years of Best of Show

To celebrate our 70th anniversary we are bringing back several of our Best of Show winners, along with many of the owners who shared them here.

Talbot-Lago Grand Sport

The Talbot-Lago Grand Sport was built for both speed and luxury. As such, it was one of the most powerful and beautiful production cars of its day.

Lamborghini Countach

This year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the jaw-dropping Lamborghini Countach LP500 concept with a very special class that will be the first to showcase some of the most important Countach models ever made—from the earliest surviving prototype to the last Countach built.
