CARS ON 5th HAD RECORD-BREAKING YEAR IN 2021— RAISING $501,000 TO BENEFIT ST. MATTHEW’S HOUSE
The 17th annual Ferrari Club of America Cars 5th held on February 6, 2021 to benefit St. Matthew’s House raised a total of $501,000. These funds will support St. Matthew’s House in its work to provide programs and services for those struggling with homelessness, hunger, substance abuse and poverty in Southwest Florida. “We are deeply grateful to be selected as the annual beneficiary of this outstanding Naples Automotive Experience,” says St. Matthew’s House President and CEO Steve Brooder. “This year, we benefited from not only the Cars on 5th event, but also the 2nd Annual Jetport reception and the after show party. We thank Ferrari Club of America Naples Chapter President Tom O’Riordan and the dedicated Ferrari Club members who make these events such a tremendous success each year. We also thank the City of Naples and the generous sponsors and attendees who support St. Matthew’s House through this event. These funds will go far in helping us to deliver our life-transforming programs and services to those in need throughout our community. St. Matthew’s House operates the only Collier County facility approved for public feeding, providing more than 500,000 meals each year for St. Matthew’s House residents and those in the community who are suffering from chronic hunger. St. Matthew’s House also operates the only emergency homeless shelters in Collier County, sheltering more than 300 men, women and children every night.
The ‘Cars on 5th’ show is also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations from the attendees and individual contributions to our featured charities have raised over $3,000,000 over the past 13 years.
Our sponsors include Ferrari of Naples, , Naples Luxury Imports, Naples Motorsports, Blackhorse Motors, Gulfshore Life, Germain BMW, Mercedes Benz of Naples, and more. These dealers will once again bring a fine selection of exotic and luxury cars, adding to the hundreds of enthusiast-owned entries that will fill Fifth Avenue in February.
And of course, over 150 Ferraris will be on display with a fine mix of vintage and current V-8s and V-12s from Maranello that are guaranteed to please the crowds. We expect to have several new Pistas and 812 Superfasts on display.
The British contingent will include Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph and the stately Bentleys. Porsches will be plentiful including some rare race cars. American cars will not be overshadowed, with over 65 Corvettes and 80 muscle cars expected.
The Mercato section of the show will be bigger than ever with a multitude of businesses. artists, jewelers, and automotive services, and accessory suppliers will be on hand to serve the thousands of potential clients at the show.
To conclude the show, all car owners will start their cars at 4 PM sharp for a resounding Drive-Off by over 700 cars. It is a fitting send off for what is to be another successful ‘Cars on 5th’ here in Naples Florida.
