SIX-WHEEL FUN: Custom 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG to Cross the 2025 Palm Beach Auction Block with No Reserve

In a world where off-road dominance is often measured in inches of suspension travel, few vehicles command attention like the custom 6×6 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG that will be crossing the 2025 Palm Beach Auction block with No Reserve, April 24-26 at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

A six-wheeled colossus engineered for the most extreme environments, it blends military-grade toughness with unmistakable luxury, making it one of the most audacious and capable off-road machines ever built. This custom 6×6 is one of approximately 100 examples built in Graz, Austria, by Magna Steyr between 2013 and 2015. It was sold new in Dubai and later imported to the United States in 2013 and federalized (meaning it meets federal safety and emissions standards) by G&K Automotive Conversion of Santa Ana, California.

The defining feature of the G63 AMG is, of course, its six-wheel-drive system. Unlike conventional off-roaders, this truck doesn’t just have more wheels for show; each of its six massive tires is powered to ensure relentless traction across any terrain. The 6×6 configuration was inspired by a special Australian army version of the G-Class, but AMG turned it into a high-performance luxury powerhouse.

With five electronic differential locks, the G63 AMG can channel torque exactly where it’s needed, ensuring it remains unstoppable whether traversing deep sand, rocky inclines or muddy trails. Thanks to the Öhlins suspension, which includes Öhlins gas bypass shocks, revised springs and heavy-duty bump stops, the vehicle’s ground clearance allows it to glide over obstacles with ease.

Beneath the hood, the G63 AMG is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine linked to an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, ensuring power is distributed seamlessly across all six wheels. The braking system features red-painted calipers over cross-drilled rotors all around.

Adding to the Mercedes’ prowess is the central tire inflation system, allowing the driver to adjust tire pressure at the push of a button. Whether airing down for maximum grip in the desert or firming up for high-speed highway cruising, this feature enhances versatility in a way few vehicles can match.

This 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is finished in Designo Mystic White, with its aggressive stance and rugged appeal reinforced by carbon-fiber fender flares, a chrome roll bar, side steps, roof-mounted LED driving lights and a wood-paneled cargo bed. The 18-inch Hutchinson beadlock wheels wrapped in knobby off-road tires further emphasize that this machine means business.

Inside, Mercedes-Benz ensured that the G63 AMG retained every ounce of luxury possible. The Designo Classic Red and black leather interior features exquisite diamond-stitched upholstery, carbon-fiber trim and an Alcantara headliner. The cabin is outfitted with power heated and ventilated seats, a Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control and the COMAND infotainment system with navigation, ensuring that even the most grueling off-road expeditions are undertaken in absolute comfort.

This custom 6×6 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a rolling display of over-the-top engineering, proving that more wheels mean more capability and more presence. With only 8,258 actual miles, it’s ready for its next adventure ‒ whether conquering the dunes, making a statement in the city or becoming the crown jewel of a collection.
