This custom 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a Texas Speed & Performance LS3 427/635hp crate V8 engine paired with a GM 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission. This no-expense-spared, 5-year custom build was done by Cambra Speed Shop.
The car is sitting on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with Corvette independent front suspension, while the rear end features a Roadster Shop Ford 9-inch third member with Corvette Z06 independent rear suspension, Penske coilover shocks and Roadster Shop power rack & pinion steering.
This custom build features body modifications that include the rear quarter-panels being widened 1.5 inches on each side to allow for tire-width clearance, then the bodyline creases were increased for more definition and the dovetail spoiler was blended into the rear. Additional features include a Lokar shifter, Hedman block hugger headers, Cambra Speed Shop custom exhaust, Champion aluminum radiator, Corvette central headlights, JD Corvette rear taillights and a matching hardtop.
This Corvette is riding on Hopsters polished Mickey Thompson custom one-off wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires, while stopping power is provided by Wilwood 6-piston calipers with 14-inch-diameter ball milled, vented and cross-drilled rotors.
The PPG Cambra Rootbeer Metallic exterior complements the custom tan and brown leather interior completed by Bills Upholstery that features Classic Instrument gauges, Nu-Relics power windows, air conditioning, Bluetooth and heated seats. This car has been featured on the My Carbuff network, in Blacktop magazine and at the Grand National Roadster Show.
